Sierra

Office Manager

I was born and raised in Duluth, MN and moved to Denver in 2011. I Met my husband Jerry shortly after and we got married in Oct. 2014. I found CrossFit in fall of 2015, when a friend brought me to Vantage for a ‘Share the Love’ Saturday WOD. I struggled with being over weight my whole life and had reached a breaking point. Discovering CrossFit changed all of that for me. Since October 2015, I’ve lost 40 pounds and many inches, but more importantly have learned how to treat my body well, love myself, and gained a whole lot of confidence!

I joined the Vantage Team in June of 2016. I love working here because of the community! The members and coaches have always been so friendly and welcoming and I’m happy I get to be a part of the team and do that for other people too. I hope that through my job here and through my story other people who are interested in CrossFit, but are nervous to try it will see that it really is possible for people from any fitness background to find success here at Vantage.

About Brandon:

Brandon was introduced to CrossFit in early 2010 when his brother, returned home from the Navy armed with old school CrossFit knowledge, and aspirations to start a box. Shane soon got his CrossFit level 1, and had begun coaching WOD’s in their parent’s garage gym, which was slowly accumulating barbells, bumpers, kettlebells and medicine balls in preparation for starting a new gym. It didn’t take long for Brandon to develop a passion for CrossFit, which will surely last a lifetime.

Brandon soon took on an internship under his brother, thirsting for knowledge and strength Brandon began to read and memorize every scrap of exercise data he could get his hands on. Brandon became certified in April 2010 and began coaching in 2012, co-founded CrossFit Longmont’s Olympic Barbell Club.

On top of this, he loves to compete. The CrossFit Open is a must every year (except for 2015), along with other competitions in Colorado. Brandon has earned a few medals and podium placements (including being on the top), and we expect to see continued success.

Brandon’s commitment to his own athletic endeavors is evident, and he continues his relentless search for the next best ways to help his athletes. Finding CrossFit Vantage has opened up a world of opportunity for him as he will soon be able to spend the majority of his time doing what he loves: coaching and training. His pursuit of excellence in the field of strength and conditioning will be a lifelong endeavor that he plans to chase until he reaches greatness, and beyond.

Born in Las Vegas, NV, raised in Beaver Falls, PA, I have been active and on the go since I was young. I was born into a military family, dad being a fighter pilot and my mom being a master sergeant, I was taught at an early age to work hard. At the age of 3 I started gymnastics and never looked back and I ended my career at the age of 18 with one national championship win under my belt. Throughout those years I coached other gymnasts starting at the age of 5 to about 16 and loved being able to share my passion with them. After highschool, I moved to Charlotte, NC in 2006 to attend Belmont Abbey College where I graduated in 2009 with my Bachelors in Business Management/Marketing. I made Charlotte my residence for a few years after that and then in 2014 I decided I wanted a challenge and moved to Denver, CO.

I fell in love with Crossfit in 2012 when a friend of mine moved back from South Korea where she had become a Crossfit addict and decided to share her passion with me. I made a huge life change and Crossfit was the biggest part. It not only got me into the greatest shape but it emotionally and mentally changed my life. I really love helping others feel happy and their best and by coaching Crossfit I get to do both of those. I hope to continue to share my passion with athletes and continue to grow as a coach for years to come (hopefully by getting my CF Gymnastics Certification).

Born and raised in Southern California with a younger brother, I grew up pretty active with both baseball and Tae Kwon Do at a competative level. Only weighing 120lbs by the ending of my senior year of high school I was determined to play baseball at the college level. After many months of training I was told by the head coach of a college team that I was “too small” and needed to gain some weight. Hoping to find a way to gain some weight/muscle to continue playing baseball, is when my old travel baseball coaches introduced me to CrossFit. I was hooked ever since I did my first WOD in the summer of 2009 and decided to end my baseball career to pursue a life of health/fitness with CrossFit.

My goal as a coach is to help others pursue their goals, and to show them that they can achieve anything they want physically and mentally.

Background and Philosophy

Coach Zach found Crossfit in 2011, as an undergrad at the University of Vermont. After graduating in 2012, Zach spent the summer at Crossfit 908 in New Jersey. Zach enjoys the Crossfit community and its ability to bring a diverse group of people together, along with the friendly competition it breeds. As the greats Paul Simon and Chevy Chase said, “If you’ll be my bodyguard I can be your long lost pal.” This perfectly sums up the Crossfit community–we all kick ass and everyone is a friend. Through Crossfit, he also discovered his latest passion, Olympic Lifting, which he believes all Crossfit athletes should be competent in. Ideally, Zach would love everyone to give Crossfit a chance, but if you’re not sold yet, his goofy sense of humor and affinity for funk music might just win you over. His current mantra? “For us hombres, the white horse of destiny bucks long and hard, but our reward transcends the sunset we blaze towards.”
